At Spikker Specials, we integrate refurbishment already in the design phase. This means that the components and modules we produce not only perform optimally, but can also be refurbished multiple times without compromising quality. In this way, we extend the service life of machine parts and reduce waste.
Material selection is essential
This is achieved by using only high-end wear-resistant materials, including carbide, PM steel and ceramic. Naturally, always fully hardened, ensuring the material properties—and therefore wear resistance—are guaranteed. And that is exactly the difference compared to standard quality. In those cases, only surface hardening is often used. As a result, refurbishment while maintaining quality is no longer possible.
Specifications
Material selection is not the only factor that ensures optimal long-term performance. It starts the moment we receive our customers’ goods and inspect them thoroughly. We immediately record specifications such as minimum dimensions or special requirements. This ensures that the components and modules fully meet the requirements.
Communication
And of course, you can also count on clear agreements and transparent communication. That way, you know exactly what the costs will be in advance, and lead times are communicated clearly. Only once everything is agreed do we start production.
Refurbishment of third-party components
Are you currently using components or modules that were not produced by us? No problem—we can help you with those too. After we have inspected the goods, we will let you know whether refurbishment is possible within the required specifications.
And did you know that refurbishment can also go hand in hand with modifications to improve quality, performance and durability? Consider, for example, insert parts made from more wear-resistant material to replace existing materials of lower quality.
